Omni Core

Status: Open Beta Available Now

Every AI tool wants to be your everything. Most fail because one system can’t do it all well. Omni Core takes a different approach: a unified workspace built on specialized modules, each designed for how that kind of knowledge actually works…

… and all of it running locally, on your machine, under your control.

One Workspace. No Compromises.

Most AI tools make you choose: cloud convenience or data privacy. Powerful features or a lightweight footprint. A polished interface or the ability to see what’s actually happening under the hood. Omni Core doesn’t ask you to choose.

Everything runs on your hardware. Your notes, your memory, your documents, your conversations — none of it leaves your machine unless you decide it does. Bring your own API key, use a local model, or both. Switch between them per conversation. The system works the way you work.

Built on a Simple Conviction

One memory system doesn’t solve every problem. A conversation has different needs than a research archive. A novel has different needs than a codebase. A personal knowledge base has different needs than a team design system.

Omni Core is built around that reality. Each module handles its domain the way that domain actually works — structured memory for knowledge, specialized timelines for narrative, semantic reasoning for design — all unified under a single interface, a single project context, and a single search surface.

What’s Inside

Kura — Structured Memory
Not a vector database with a chat window on top. Kura organizes knowledge into typed, hierarchical topics — each with a purpose, a summary, and a history. Memory that grows with you, stays coherent over time, and knows the difference between what you decided and what you’re still figuring out.

Semantic Search That Actually Works
Every document in your library is indexed for both meaning and exact text, so you can find things the way you remember them — approximately, precisely, or somewhere in between. Results are grounded in your actual content, with citations you can verify.

A Document Editor That Knows Its Context
Four views into every file: read-only, Obsidian-style preview, Monaco code editor, and WYSIWYG. Every document has its own chat sidebar — so you can ask questions about it, edit it with natural language, and see proposed changes as a diff before anything is applied.

Full Transparency, By Design
See what’s in context. See what was retrieved and from where. See token counts broken down by system, prompt, and completion. See indexing status, model configuration, and active logic — not buried in logs, but visible in the interface, where it’s useful.

Local-First Is Not a Feature. It’s the Architecture.

Omni Core runs entirely on your machine. The message broker, the vector store, the log database, the inference server — all local, all embedded, all running comfortably in under 300MB of RAM. There is no cloud dependency, no account required to use your own data, and no service outage that takes your workflow with it.

Use a local model and pay nothing per token. Use a frontier API and bring your own key. Configure cost estimates per model so you always know what a session would cost — whether you’re paying for it or not.

Designed for People Who Care How Their Tools Work

Omni Core is not for everyone. It’s for users who want to understand what’s in their context window, who notice when a tool is doing something they didn’t ask for, and who would rather have a smaller set of well-designed primitives than a large set of opaque features.

If that’s you, you’re going to feel at home here.
